Marcelo Bielsa issues an update on the fitness of Leeds United star duo Raphinha and Patrick Bamford
Leeds United’s poor start to the season
Leeds United will look to bounce back from a poor start to their Premier League season when they take on newly-promoted Watford this Saturday.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side impressed last campaign, but have struggled in the top-flight this time around. Yet to pick up a win from their opening six games (3 draws and 3 losses), they sit in 17th place, hovering just above the relegation zone.

They have, however, improved. Only a late Michail Antonio winner stopped them from registering a credible point against high-flying West Ham, despite their injury problems.
Leeds also picked up a victory on penalties in the third round of the Carabao Cup, which has seen them rewarded with a trip to Arsenal in the fourth round.
Injury latest as Bamford set to miss out once more
The latest injury update from Marcelo Bielsa is very much a mixed one.
Patrick Bamford remains out of contention, and will be unlikely to be called up to the England squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Hungary.
However, star man Raphinha has returned and is available for selection against the hornets, while Diego Llorente should ease the defensive injury woes as he is in “contention”.
A mixed injury update from Marcelo Bielsa… “Raphinha is available, but Patrick Bamford isn’t.” Diego Llorente comes back into contention.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side will be further boosted by the return of Pascal Struijk, who has now served his three match suspension after being sent off against Liverpool.
Will these returnees be enough to see Leeds grab a much needed three points at the weekend?
